Open any signed document online
Free. The file never leaves your device. Works on phone and computer.
Try it on a file you already have. SignedDocs opens signed documents in the browser so you can read the document and download a copy. Nothing is uploaded.
Which signed documents you can open
A signed document is a container. The readable file sits inside a signature, a timestamp or a seal. The name is often wrong: people rename files, sign them twice, or receive them as text. SignedDocs looks at the bytes.
These containers show up in mail and on government portals: .p7m, .xml.p7m, .pdf.p7m, .p7s, .tsd, .m7m, .zfo, .es3, .et3, .xades, .sig, .xsig, .csig, .asice, .bdoc, .sce and .adoc. Some are only a signature. Some are encrypted and need the recipient’s key. Some hold several files.
- .p7m and .pdf.p7m — a document inside a CMS signature, common in Italian PEC mail
- .p7s — often a signature without the document, including smime.p7s
- .tsd and .m7m — a timestamp around a file
- .zfo — a Czech data-box message
- .es3, .xades, .xsig, .asice and .adoc — signed XML and ZIP packages from Hungary, Poland, Spain, the Baltics and beyond
What you get back
You get the document that was inside, a PDF preview when the payload is a PDF, and the name on the signature. Download the extracted file, download the original, or print the PDF. The extracted PDF is a copy of the content. The original file is the proof of the signature, so save that too. This is not a legal validation, and SignedDocs is not a government body.
Know the format already?
Each format has its own page with a short guide, the questions people ask about it and the same field. Use the All formats menu in the header, or start from the SignedDocs home page to see which format matches where your file came from.
Is it safe?
Yes. SignedDocs reads the file in your browser. The bytes are not uploaded, and there is no account. Keep the original file: it is the signed record.
Which formats can I open?
Drop a .p7m, .p7s, .tsd, .m7m, .zfo, .es3, .xades, .xsig, .asice, .bdoc or .adoc file in the field above, or a FatturaPA invoice. SignedDocs reads the bytes, so a wrong or missing extension does not stop it.
I do not know what my file is. What do I do?
Drop it anyway. SignedDocs checks what is inside, not what the name says, and tells you the result: opened, signature only, encrypted, or not supported yet.
Is it free?
Yes. Viewing, the signer panel and download are free. There is no watermark and no account. Try it on a file you already have, then download the copy you need.
